Michelle has been working in orthopaedic physiotherapy with a special interest in sports injuries since completing her Masters’ degree in Physiotherapy in 2006. With an extensive background as a national level track and field athlete, Michelle understands the need for athletes to maximize their physical capacity in order to perform to their highest levels. Michelle’s goal as a physiotherapist is to help you obtain your highest level of overall functioning and return to your usual lifestyle activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Michelle also believes in the role that physiotherapy can play in optimizing health for individuals of all ages and levels of ability. She has had excellent results in helping individuals learn how to incorporate exercise into their daily lives to improve the overall fitness and wellbeing of her clients. Furthermore, Michelle takes the time to help you identify your health goals and assess any aches and pains you might have before creating an exercise program that is designed to meet your individual needs. Her therapeutic approach involves hands-on therapy and exercise to maximize movement and correct muscle imbalances, modalities including acupuncture when indicated, and educating you about your condition to get you better faster.
Michelle has completed courses in manual therapy, concussion management, vestibular rehabilitation, and acupuncture to enable her to provide optimal care for a variety of conditions. She practices vestibular rehabilitation and physiotherapy both in clinic and virtually when indicated, with virtual care having great results when people really are not feeling well due to dizziness or concussion symptoms or simply when they are too far away to access our in clinic services. She looks forward to helping you get moving and reach your full potential!
